Apple tun (Malea pomum) are tun shells indigenous to Hawai'i and the Pacific. The shells of these beautiful snails are a common sight on the shores of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. The body of the snails themselves come in varied shades of dark brown, peach, rusty, and warm tones contrasted with bright white.
