Here are some snaily representatives from Maui, Moloka'i, and Lana'i. These three islands (along with Kaho'olawe) used to be connected in the not-so-distant past, forming an island known as Maui Nui with an estimated landmass of over 40% larger than the Big Island is today. The Achatinellinae subfamily, to which these genera belong, is believed to have originated on Maui Nui.
